The Gettysburg Voice is an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan news source based in Gettysburg and Adams County, Pennsylvania.
We work to deliver engaging, in-depth, fact-based journalism that promotes the inclusion of all of Gettysburg's residents and visitors in an effort to build a stronger, more connected community.
The Gettysburg Voice specifically aims to:
- present stories that are people-centered, not power-centered. This includes a focus on underrepresented populations within the borough of Gettysburg and the community at-large.
- source stories through strong ties to its readership base and the community, as well as through a staff that nurtures strong connections to all community stakeholders.
- utilize young talent to develop a strong editorial staff by offering internships and work experience for students, young professionals, those interested in new career paths or those looking for meaningful service to the community.
- publish positive stories to strengthen community ties, or, if the subject matter itself is not positive, stories that work toward effecting positive change.
